I’ve put a new piece of artwork up on my site.  A birthday gift for my lovely assistant Livio.  This painting was done using Acrylic on water colour paper.  I usually paint with Watercolour, inks or Gouache, and this is my first painting since I was a teen using Acrylic.  I wanted to work using light layers so that bits of the image remained transparent (especially the sky) to allow the paper to come through, and other bits ended up more opaque.  I used a satin finish varnish over the top to smooth everything out.  It’s no where near perfect, but I’m fairly pleased with the result.  The image itself came from a dream.  Check out this and more of my art on my creative work page.
